Dirt Bikes / Dual Sport - ATV/OHV - Overlanders

While Mulberry Gap has its roots in mountain biking, we're also friends of the motorized trail riding scene. Though not as close, specific trails in the area accommodate these rigs and if you prefer double the wheels, we can meet the needs of the ATV, OHV and overlanders too. After all, you didn't buy that dual sport, adventure bike or souped-up 4Runner just to get to work and back, did you? The Chattahoochee National Forest and beyond has endless miles of forest service roads and jeep trails awaiting you and your crew.

Adventure & DUAL SPORT ROUTES

With just under 500 Miles winding through 3 States, this is the #1 most ridden big loop in the Southeast! The Smokey Mountain 500 is a 70/30% dirt vs paved adventure route that rolls by just a couple miles from the front gates of Mulberry Gap while circling through the Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina Smokey Mountains.

Brought to you by Backcountry Discovery Routes, the Chattahoochee BDR-X is a 350-mile loop featuring the best dual-sport and adventure riding in the north Georgia mountains. This unforgettable route combines graded forest roads, primitive two-track, & scenic backcountry pavement under the canopy of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

This beautiful and fun ride of just over 100 miles will take you directly from the front gates at Mulberry Gap, looping up through the Ocoee area in Tennessee and right back home again. Check out the Mulberry to Ocoee route here.

You might not have time for a whole 1600+ miles of the South East Adventure Trail, but that “little” ~500 miles circle section in the middle rolls right by Mulberry Gap!

Looking for an overnight route you can fit comfortably into a weekend? This 170 mile 70/30 route is anchored on one side in Tellico Plains, and on the other side right here at Mulberry Gap! Black Bear gives you the best of both worlds, with miles of gorgeous pavement, but just enough gravel to make it interesting. And the option for soft beds, great food, and fun on either end of the loop!

Trailhead with off-loading ramp located on FS 3A, Peeples Lake Road. Rock Creek Trail is for 4-wheelers and ATVs of less than 50 inches width. Helmets are required by the state of Georgia while riding dirt bikes, but strongly encouraged while riding all types of equipment. Tatum Lead Trail is suitable for 4WD trucks and jeeps since there is no parking lot to off-load ATVs and 4-wheelers.
